TalentFarm.ai-FTCCI IAC Launch

TalentFarm.ai in collaboration with The Federation of Telangana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, an apex Industry body launched the Industry Academia Connect programme with a goal to nurture talent in colleges and universities and make them Industry ready.

TalentFarm.ai has launched an Industry Academia Connect programme in collaboration with ICT committee of FTCCI. The committee has V Rajanna TCS Site Head for Hyderabad and Prof Uday Desai as the advisors. It has several industry leaders drawn from Microsoft, SAP, EY, TCS, NASSCOM, T-Hub and many other leading companies and startups.

As part of the pilot for this Initiative TalentFarm.ai and FTCCI will partner with 10 colleges covering 10,000 students (which will be eventually expanded to 100 colleges covering 100,000 students)  to help the students for Industry exposure and give mentor access, high value internships and placement opportunities.

The Initiative saw the attendance of several Industry leaders including Mr. Sujit Jagidar, CIO, T-Hub, Mr. Sanjay, COO, T-works, Mr. Shrikanth Sinha, CEO, TASK, Mr. Bala Prasad Peddigari, Chief Innovation Officer, TCS, Mr. Avneesh Bhatnagar, Senior Director, ServiceNow, Mr. Ramesh Swaminathan, Senior  VP, Real Page , Ms. Rashi Srivastav, Senior Leader, Qunetlli, Mr. Rajesh Dhuddu, Head of Blockchain Practice, Tech Mahindra, Mr. Manish Gupta, Director, SAP and Academic Leaders and student representatives from more than 30 colleges.

Prof Uday Desai, Director emeritus, IIT Hyderabad delivered the keynote and emphasised on the need for greater collaboration between Industry and Academia. He spoke about the concept of Professor of Practice and invited Industry leaders to spare time to visit colleges and help nurture talent. He also called upon the academia to make the engagement flexible and convenient for industry mentors. 

The event included a Fireside chat between Mr. Shrikanth Sinha and Pankaj Diwan on what are the gaps and solutions for Industry Academia Collaboration.

This was followed by two panel Discussions on topic of 

Panel 1 Topic and the speakers included Mr. Rajesh Dhuddu, Dr. Ramesh Darbha and Mr. Ramesh Swaminathan and the panel was moderated by Mr. Manish Gupta

And the Panel2 Topic included Ms. Rashi Srivastav, Ms Vyshali Sagar and Mr. Avneesh Bhatnagar and the panel was moderated by Ms. Sheetal Srikanth.

The initiative has the backing of several Industry partners for supporting with problem statements, mentoring and placements. FTCCI has also exchanged MOU’s with various organizations like TASK, T-hub, T-works.
