TalentFarm.ai-FTCCI Industry Academia Roundtable

TalentFarm.ai in collaboration with The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry organized a Round Table on Co-Innovation as part of the Industry-Academia Connect programme.

The event witnessed the participation of more than 20 colleges along with 20 Industry mentors from leading IT companies.

Interestingly, the college was represented by faculty and students who are the important stake holders for any change in college.

The President of FTCCI Mr. Suresh Singhal, VP, FTCCI, Mr. KK Maheshwari, ICT Committee Chair, Mr. Mohan Raidu and Management Committee member and ICT Co-Chair, Mr. Pankaj Diwan addressed the gathering during the inaugural session.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pankaj Diwan, Co-Founder of TalentFarm.ai emphasised the need for IT industry to move up the value chain and adapt to a product mindset. He said “The Goal of a 30 trillion dollar economy can only be achieved by designing and building world class products.”

The President and Vice President of FTCCI assured the Academia and students that FTCCI will be available at all levels to support the academic community and students with research and joint IP creation opportunities, skilling through challenges and hackathons and support in internships and placements. 

Post the inaugural session, one Industry mentor was paired with faculty and students of two colleges and were given a set of questions and challenges to deliberate and come up with their solutions.

The questions included topics related to:

  1. What are the challenges and impediments for industry-academia collaboration and how can it be more effective
  2. What are some ideas and initiatives which have worked in the past
  3. What are the recommendations for making the collaboration effective.

TalentFarm.ai team collected the recommendations from each table and promised to collate and release the report and work collaboratively on the recommendations.

The Event was very well received and was appreciated by Industry mentors, Faculty and students.
